Every year containR hosts change-making, accessible arts programming made for gathering. Having travelled to many communities of Calgary, containR is a pop-up art park structured with upcycled shipping containers that is designed, developed and curated by Springboard Performance.

This is our last season at our current Sunnyside location, with TWO new locations in the works for the future! See below for a special announcement!

Announcement!

The time has come to let you in on our new locations… We’re excited to share that containR’s new homes will be in… (drumroll please!)

Inglewood! We will be situated on the north east corner of 9th Ave and 9th Street, the entrance to the heart of Inglewood and we couldn’t be more stoked. The move will happen this fall, and we’re thrilled to begin to develop new relationships with this neighbourhood while we maintain past relationships with you, our incredible circle of artists, vendors and community organizers.

AND Crescent Heights! We will be working in collaboration with the Crescent Heights Community Association and the BIA to imagine a new site together over the next year.

We’re so grateful for being welcomed into the dynamic community of Sunnyside and know that our time there was pivotal in shaping what containR has become. Come along with us to these new spaces and be inspired by fresh opportunities for placemaking and public art.
